The IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. They will be responsible for troubleshooting basic technical problems and providing support to all end users. They will also provide guidance and support when issues need to be escalated to managed care services or vendors. Role and Responsibilities • Provides support for all hardware, software, connection, printer and applications. • Provides technical support remotely and/or on-site. • Password resets, account creation, email creation, and workstation resets/configuration. • Configuration/troubleshooting VPN/remote settings • Phone user configuration. • Acts as a project leader in completing special projects as assigned. • Installs and maintains Microsoft Operations Manager. • Formulates long range plans for servers and storage. • Configures and maintains CISCO Equipment such as routers, firewalls & switches. • Coordinates, develops, and recommends the design of functionally distributed information systems to meet the needs of the organization and its affiliated entities. • Establishes, coordinates, recommends, and maintains hardware standards and procedures to support all information systems. • Responsible for the daily operation of servers ensuring that all systems are operating at proper levels. • Replace or repair defective parts • Monitor and remove virus, spyware, and other non-authorized software. • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up for clients. • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of schedule jobs such as backups for clients. • Create, change, or delete user accounts • Apply operating system patches and upgrades on regular basis, off-hours. • Purchase hardware and software following set procedures • Purchase and maintain domains and SSL certificates • Develops effective policies and procedures. • Tests new computer hardware and software solutions prior to implementation. • All other duties as assigned by manager.

Skills & Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications • 2-4 years prior experience with providing workstation and network support • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software such as Project Manager, Access, Word and PowerPoint are preferred. • Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills are essential. • Strong project management skills are essential. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential. • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies. • Ability to lead, work in and constructively contribute to team work environment. • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Attention to detail and follow through including the ability to document work. • Ability to meet stringent deadlines. • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information is essential.
